Being thorough with your oral health

A dental check-up is one of the foundations of ensuring you maintain strong oral hygiene. Our friendly dentists will carefully examine your teeth, gums and mouth in order to make sure everything in order, identify any potential problems, or potential signs of anything, whilst also perform an oral mouth cancer screening. Dental Check-ups are advised at least once a year to maintain a healthy mouth.

Why are they so important?

The health of your teeth is invaluable, and prevention is better than treatment further down the line. Regular check-ups give your dentist the opportunity to halt any signs of gum disease or tooth decay and work with you to keep your smile fresh and bright, now and in the future.

On your first visit, a complete health history will be taken to provide us with a broad understanding of your individual needs. Your dentist may take an x-ray of your teeth. An x-ray can be invaluable for ascertaining the current landscape of your jaw, for example the position of any wisdom teeth, and for diagnosing any issues that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Some people schedule a dental check-up once or twice a year, while others, who may require or have undergone treatment, will need to visit more frequently. This will be individual to you and your dentist will help you understand your needs.
